The next time someone says “just breathe,” listen to them. Breathing is so important to calming your state of mind and relaxing. Your body does not know the difference between being very excited and very nervous, so breathe and relax, because freaking out is unnecessary. Not breathing right can potentially harm you and can negatively affect performance.
